I use my DVX 100b for news on the web, a fairly run and gun situation, and I have had no problems what so ever with shaky-ness. The OIS is good on it. It is a bit heavy if you are hand-holding the whole time, but that is only extremely noticeable when you are zoomed in. When you are wide, the OIS tends to take care of things, and a good monopod will always be your best friend.

Yes, sony(2100 or FX1 for example) ois better than DVX100... But i have steadycam&monopod with quick-mount manfrotto 357 plate - there is no problem with ois

Really - that is not problem at all - just do not shake your camera, its so easy - dvx100 is very balanced camera!
