Wanting to import some tape footage into vegas and must admit I have never done it with the HVX200 before. Looked at manual didn't find info I needed.
What cable do i use to connect the camera to the PC to capture footage from the TAPE (as opposed to USB download mxf files from P2 Card)... Do I use the same USB cable? Any special in camera setting I need to change before starting capture?
What's the procedure on that?
Also does anyone know how to transfer some DVD footage from my DVD player into my HVX200 so that I can then import it into vegas?
Any help appreciated. Looked at manual and tried a few things this morning but none worked... Rats.

If you transfer tape from the HVX200, its basicly miniDV.
So just plug in the firewire and capture as you would with any other miniDV cam.
As for DVD footage. Its easier to just import the vob files directly into Vegas. No need to use your camera.
