Short Story's for a 5 Minute Script

Hey all,

I've got a project coming up for a video production class I'm taking and I'm looking for some suggestion. I have to produce a 3 -5 minute short based on a short story and I don't have any ideas yet. If any of you know some short stories that I could use I'd like to hear about them.

I'm on a tight budget, so nothing too over the top. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

I have about a dozen 5 page scripts available, most with low-no budgets in mind so few locations, few charactesr and minimal FX. Mainly horror and crime.
