HI all
I just stopped in a local Truck Stop, There was a 10inch AC/DC LCD TV with a DVD Player, HDMI, Component and PC input with NTSC and ATSC tuner for under 300 bucks!! Very narrow Viewing angle, but pretty decent picture.
It Does NOT say anything about HD. however, the specs lead one to believe it will at least do 720p.
The Brand Name was NAXA- MOdel NX-550.
I found another monitor on Ebay out of the UK under the brand name of MEOS. Essentially is spec'd out Identically. Visually it was a Dead Ringer for the NAXA NX-550, all the same bells and whistles.
Some places list this NAXA as an HDTV or HD Ready TV. Nowhere in the specs does it say one way or the other exactly what it is capable of.
Can anyone help? Has some inexpensive foreign HD monitor slipped under the radar of the Indie crowd here or is this an SD Montior that is capable of downconverting HD to SD in the typical grand consumer-Illussive promise of being an HD TV?
I cannot even find the exact model on NAXA's site.
Here is a Link to a NAXA or a NAXA NX-550 Look-alike HDTV? on Overstock.com

If this thing would work, It would make a very useful Client Monitor. One could hook it up to an Anton Brick in a hearbeat for field use.
Any Input or responses are appreciated.
