    Offering my services...

    Hey guys,
As I stated in my Twilight Fest Entry thread, I'm really looking to involve myself more in the DVX community. I figured I can start by offering some script advice and maybe even a poster or two for anyone willing to let me.

I pride myself in being a good writer, and having taken many courses on writing in film school (particularly on writing for the short film). I feel I can do a good job of tightening your script to make sure it adheres to the traditional three-act structure. I am definitely a slave to the three-act structure... the best films abide by it.

I also work professionally as a graphic designer and I get a kick out of making movie posters. If you have some nice production stills that I can work with (and I have the time) I'll throw together a sick little poster for you. Here's some samples of recent work I've done.

Let me know if you're interested... mike@beginningmiddleend.com

UPDATE: Twilight Posters I've worked on so far:

    Dude... awesome posters!

I don't have any production stills as I'm still in the writing stage on my project. Any chance you could do a concept poster for now? I can fill you in on the story details and the idea(s) I had so far.

I'm actually in the pre-pre-concept stage. I don't have any photos or design elements because I don't know what my movie's about yet...Any chance you can whip me up a poster from scratch too?

But seriously...nice work. And very generous of you to offer your services.

Mike, your posters are great, man!!!! I've been trying to get better at graphic design myself and it's always cool when you see art and creativity in posters. Coming up with different concepts and original ideas and making them work (and look professional) ain't easy, so I applaud you. I'll be working on my poster this weekend, but if I falter any, I may be hitting you up.

    Watch the film (1/21/13) HERE!

    iZaza Slider...Do you?

Thank man, I appreciate it. When I first got my hands on Photoshop (probably like 10 years ago) I would cut out screen shots from trailers and pictures online and make my own movie posters. Eventually that turned into a career in graphic design, but when it comes down to it, even today my favorite thing to do graphically is layout one sheets. I look at it like another interpretation of the script, representing as much about the story as you can in one image. But yeah man, feel free to hit me up if you have questions or need help.
