These are rankings and ratings of the top 8 after the 2nd round of voting closed rounded to the nearest hundredth of a point (the system actually averaged to 4 decimal places):

    O2 - 8.63 (round 1 - 8.8)
    R.P.D.M - 8.1 (round 1 - 8.36)
    The Small Multiple - 7.6 (round 1 - 7.66)
    Ad Infinitum - 6.92 (round 1 - 7.19)
    Aetas - 6.83 (round 1 - 7.0)
    John Abbot Mitchell - 6.76 (round 1 - 7.25)
    Survival - 6.57 (round 1 - 6.84)
    The Watchman - 6.44 (round 1 - 6.67)

We recieved a record (almost 3x) amount of votes over any previous fest, and I feel very confident in saying that the changes to the voting system for this fest were very successful.

Other films rounding out the creme that didn't quite make the cut:

    Push
    Red Shoes
The Five Worst Days of Bartholomew Saxton
    The Walk Back
    Unzeit

Who won what prizes and the door prize from the screening will hopefully be announced tomorrow as will (hopefully) the rules for twilight fest as we close out timefest tomorrow.

Anyone else who would like to know where they stood in the rankings and what their films rating was can feel free to pm myself or Larry R and we will be glad to provide you with that information.

    Later,
    Jason

What's the deal with JAM? That seems like a BIG discrepancy between rounds... it was high up there in my books... why the drop? It seems it's the ONLY ONE that changed.

Wow, everyone dropped in the second round but the O2 team.

Well, at least I made the cut!

    8.8 is bigger than 8.63.

Yes, 8.8 is bigger than 8.63 but I get your point. I must have read the first one backwards.

It looks like every film was more harshly critiqued in the second round.

I never changed my ratings from round one to round two (and yes, all the finalists that made it through were my top rated films). I didn't see why my opinion should change based on what the final films were? Perhaps there were quite a few people who ONLY voted in the second round... is there anyway to check that out?
