Looking for a writer to turn my outline into a script!! (Pay and credits)

Hi guys and gals, my name is Chad, I'm an aspiring film producer with, what I feel is a great outline for a film (who doesn't have one of those). This film has the potential to be shot on a decent sized budget (not hollywood size by any means however).

I'm looking for an indy writer, who for a small fee (reasonable of course) can sink his or her teeth into this project and help make it a winner. The opportunity for credit as a co-writer is also available...this is a horror film, and the budget size, hopefully 300k or more, should be enough to sign on some talented people and make a push for atleast DVD distro. (Which means having credit on it could DEFINITELY prove invaluable). If anyone is interested, or would like further details, please respond, I'm open to suggestions and help, and will take a look at all reasonable offers!

Thank you to all that have responded so far...I think I've responded to everyone who has responded to this thread, if not, My apologies shoot me another PM and I will respond I got alot at one time and tried to get everyone.

I'm seeing a recurring question in each PM so I guess I'll answer it here.

First off, money for filming is never "guaranteed" as many of you probably know already..however, atleast 300k of the budget has been "promised" we'll say..so barring any thing outside of my control the budget will be atleast that. THAT is why I need a solid script, so that I can expand that budget by going to private investors. I would much rather get the budget up round the 700k mark, just to make sure I can do everything I intend with this film.

Second, the big question of story details, all I can say for now is what I sent in the email:

"Right now all I can say about the story is that it is a horror film that takes place in the woods and in a cabin in the woods. It also involves "Infected" people similar to the type in the 28 Days Later films. Think Resident Evil: The Game meets The Strangers.
    "

I will also add that I'm not looking for campy low budget zombie horror where acting/dialogue is bad, but there's enough TNA to over look it. Actually I'm looking for dynamic characters, that can go through the real trauma of being trapped in the middle of nowhere with impending doom lurking around every corner. If you've seen The Strangers then you know exactly what I'm talking about.

I have some detailed scenes in my mind already and some in the outline, so the more comfortable you are with character development and fear the better, most of the film will probably write itself once you get going.

Anyway I appreciate anyone who reads this, and I REALLY appreciate all who respond, thanks again!

Hi guys, just an update, I've received all of your emails...I must say I was overwhelmed by the amount of responses I've received so far! I was expecting 1, maybe 2 people to respond, read their samples and make a choice, to my surprise, and delight, I've received SEVERAL scripts and willing and more than capable writers submitting their work.

The only downside to that is the fact that I have to, and feel that I OWE it to you all, to read everyone's work with equal patience. Therefore what I'm going to do is set a cut off date for applicants..we'll say Friday afternoon around 5. I'm going to continue reading everyone's work as much as possible..and then finalize a decision sometime around next Tuesday night/ Wednesday afternoon.

I hope that is fair and works well for everyone who has sent information. I'm sorry I couldn't respond to all your emails but it was a little difficult to keep up with all of them and respond to everyone (for the time being I'm still a regular guy working a "real" job after all, lol.)
