I also have a bunch of old NIMH batteries that work with a JVC DV500. 7 of them in fact:
3 of which don't hold much charge if any,
2, the NHP-50s, which hold a fairly good charge but are not full strength,
and 2, the NP-L50 Lithium Ions, which are still very good at holding a full charge.
