I was sitting at my computer, perusing DVXuser.com, when I was startled (i.e., screamed like a little girl) by the worst sounds I'd ever heard. It was like every animal, insect, and ex-girlfriend was screaming at me.
AND IT WAS COMING FROM MY BALCONY!!!
With my Bogen monopod in hand, I investigated the ghostly screams emanating from beyond the screendoor. I trembled as I pulled back the curtain. Slowly tugging at the cord (Note: you get best results that way) to reveal the source of my fear.

Behold! Two horny bats engaging in the act of love making, on the ground, and inches from my screendoor. These sex crazed animals were really going at it!!! At one point, they decided to change positions, and climb the screen door. (Note: Kamasutra doesn't teach you that one!)
Let's not forget about the sounds. WOW!!! These two bats were screamers! But, keep in mind, it was at a frequency that almost shattered the windows.
It was awful. Yet, I couldn't look away. I mean, how often will you get a chance to see this? ...I don't have Animal Planet.
Not knowing how long this would last (Note: this might be their foreplay) I decided to send the two lovers on their way.
"You don't have to go home, but you can't stay here." I exclaimed, with a firm hit to the screendoor.
The bats, shocked and embarrassed, flew off into the moon lit sky. Hopefully their little radar will lead them to each other. So they can rendezvous again some time.
Note: I am not sure which is more odd. Witnessing two bats reproduce or immediately writing about it to complete strangers on the Internet?
Don't answer that!

TC & bodaphoto: Ha!
Woodson: I thought about recording it. And then I thought "Who would want to see this?" and "What if I die and people go through my DVX tapes. How will I explain the bat sex tape?"
But I really wish you could have heard the sound these things made. It was frightening.

dude, you live in Thailand. You probably have a elephant in your backyard with a monkey on it back. Here where I live, the only thing screaming is bullets flying by. WESSSIDDDE!...I don't have Animal Planet.

Nope, no elephants in my backyard. Just the muddy Mekong River. Now I'm sad. Elephants with monkeys on their back would be so much cooler!!!

LOL! ;D I'm *very* disappointed you didn't get any footage. The dead never have to explain anything. Just for that, you'd better post some good footage of an elephant with a monkey on its back.
