Judgement, Head on over to donedealpro.com and check out the forums. There are quite a few threads on how to hunt down an agent. Asking for one in the DVXforum will not get you an agent, nor a referral.
Then, do a little research on the web, there's thousands of resources you can read to educate yourself on the process.
Good luck.

Are you an established writer? Have you sold a script before?
You aren't going to pick up an agent unless you make a name for yourself. Agents get paid when you do.
Go out and try to win a few screen writing fests, sell your stuff to local directors and producers to actually make your script into a film.
All of us want agents, problem is, you need to be marketable to get one."I reject your reality and substitute my own"

Sorry Matty but you are incorrect.
You do not need to "establish yourself" first when trying to secure representation. Nor do you need a sale under your belt. What you do need is an excellent, marketable script. Just do a little research on query letters and insure your script is polished. This means re-write and re-write again until have a quality product. If you have an excellent query letter and an even better script you'll have more opportunity than an established writer with 3 sales and a crappy script.

You need an excellent commerical concept and writing to back it up. Managers are IMO the best route for agents.

i agree with the above. i've heard a good amount of unsold writers still end up doing a lot of the leg work even once they get an agent.
securing the agent won't be like winning the lottery. dont think thats the answer to all your problems regarding getting your script sold.

I need an agent!!!!
