I'm about halfway through the DVD, and it's excellent! (Already finished the Lighting version, which I'd highly recommend). I'd enjoy knowing what "un-manned" mic boom you guys are using in the classroom skit and when Barry is showing the comparison between the 180 shotgun and the much more expensive. I recently bought one off Amazon, but it's incredibly bulky.

What's the boom? It's a Gitzo. Nothing out of the ordinary. Mounted on a C-stand because everything was stationary.

Just a quick thing about the DVDs... they're excellent! As an artist some of the vfx in them made me want to cry at times, but no matter how cheesy the examples were the important info was amazingly helpful. For those on the edge about buying them, just do it. Both the lighting and sound DVDs are well worth the cash.
