Its the steadicam flyer, its the smallest of Tiffens professional steadicams. It will take cameras up to 7kg which is enough for an Arriflex SR3 or a DSR250 or something fairly big. It will also take the hvx/sgpro rig easily.

Its a nice rig, was about Ģ6000 with the batteries and other bits and pieces that I needed and I have had great success with it.

We recently got a M2 as well as an Letus. We like the diversity of both the adaptors but prefer the letus for ease of set up and rugged build. My steadicam op freind dash posed with my steadicam for the shot (even though he complains my clipper 2 at 60 lbs is not heavy enough.) We will try putting the rig on his steadicam Ultra 2 next week. The rig flys very well with no vibrations in the post. We practiced all saturday with my 1st AC to pull focus at 1' DOF(Bartech+M-one motor). He promised to firebomb my house if I ever try to do that in real life (it is very unrealistic). Overall we are happy with the set up.

How do you get over the FX1's lack of proper audio inputs when filming mr rider?

well, I use that little senheisser shotgun mic because it sure beats the on camera mic and it does a decent job. If I ever need to shoot anything where audio is critical, I use my works HVX200 and their audio kit. I shoot a lot of eng style stuff so the little senheisser does the trick for now. A beachtek is also on my list of things to get.

I used the rode video mic on my FX1 a few times, and its actually pretty good. I shot this for MTV with my FX1 and rode video mic. Its for the turkish MTV channel and this is just a snippet of it, but you get the jist. Its also in turkish but you can still hear what he is saying. It was a really windy day too...

You can see he has the Bartech follow focus device on his rig. He's pairing it with the M-One motor.
