    Hey everybody -

I wanted to let everyone know that we have a trailer up for our new short film Suicide Jack. You can find it on my myspace page, myspace.com/johnharvey37 (first video on the list) or directly, http://myspacetv.com/index.cfm?fusea...deoid=26615325 . It is also available on Youtube, http://youtube.com/watch?v=-moDnX_u-ig .

We also have a website up for the short, suicidejackmovie.com , where you can download a full-res version of the trailer or a version for your Ipod.

The short was shot over a weekend in a single location with an HPX-500. Total run time is ~11 minutes and we are going to put out a dvd with this and some of our other short films in the near future.

I hope you all enjoy it.

    Best,
    John Harvey

    Hi John,
Looks pretty cool. How did you like working with the 500?

I liked it a lot. I actually worked with a DP so I didn't shoot with it myself, but I am very happy with the footage. The camera has great color reproduction and we had a good bit of room to play with the color grading. It is also very sensitive, which was valuable for us because we did not have a huge lighting package to work with (budgetary restrictions), so the extra sensitivity allowed us to get what we needed with less wattage. We also used the variable frame rate to do some slow motion and I was actually impressed with how slow we got.

The post workflow has worked great as well. No problems getting the footage from the camera into Final Cut.
