After realizing the initial project was a bit more than we were ready to tackle, we came up with a second story after listening to John Sheets idea for a rather odd love story. (If you PM him I'm sure he'll be happy to share his concept with you.)
Thus, "Winter" was born. I am really excited about this project and I hope the rest of you will be anxious to see it by February. Some of the more exciting aspects of it I am really torn about giving up before the screening.
I will tell you this. We're going to do this old school and not try to go with CGI and greenscreen. All the effects are going to be practical. We've thrown the gauntlet down for ourselves and we're doing this as a period piece.
Just yesterday I received a note from the artist Quinton Hoover after I wrote to say how his artwork had really helped me show my crew what I was thinking. He was very happy and flattered by the thought of his work being inspirational to us.
SO, the plan now is to work on the casting and the practicals and get the shots all planned out and blocking and costumes done this month and then shoot in January. Lighting tests are underway and all manner of trickery is being thought up.
We are very very excited about so many things on this project. We'll be getting to use the Advanta Lite Jib we recently purchased. Early testing has shown really nice results. I'm certain the end results will look very professional.
More later....

Would you like me to design a poster/scheme for you? I'd be more than happy.
You can see my work on my thread as well as Dustin Rogan's film, "Given".
Let me know =)

Thank you Como.
Kyle, Thanks, right now Mike Pedro (designer of the beautiful and mysterious poster for Revelations) is working on the poster idea. But if he gets swamped at work or anything I'll definitely give you a shout. I did the banner thingy late last night, all by myself without any help from anyone. Huge strides in the finalization of the script today. Looks like we'll have some very powerful moments in the story everyone will be able to relate to. Now to costume and effects, as well as props and locations. This will be our biggest endeavor to date. (bigger even than the car wreck in After Life) It just keeps getting better.

With everything we have going for us right now, this will be the project to watch. I now those are some pretty big words, but this story is developing itself, the locations are appearing out of nowhere, we have all the tools we could possibly hope for and everyone is in a great mood.
BTW Jason, I like the banner, I work in an MRI facility."From now on, I will make films I want to watch."
