    Hi,

I'm selling my dvx100a in hopes of getting the hvx in the new year. I have the Panasonic 16:9 conversion lens as well and I'm wondering what a fair price to ask is for the camera with the lens. I've seen 100a's ranging in price like crazy. It has 195 hours on the heads, which I clean every 30 hours or so. It's in great shape, and I have 1 battery and everything that comes with it all in the box.

I just want to make sure I'm not ripping anyone off or getting ripped off myself.

    Thanks!

I would say around $1,200. Ebay is showing some DVX100A's for about that price, and around the same amount of hours on them as yours.

I'm seeing 100b's go for around $1600 lately , so the 100a would be less, but add something for the anamorphic adapter--maybe $150?

You should be able to pull $1300 - $1500 for it. The lens is a pricey addition, and you may get more if you split them up...

For a quick sale, I'd go 1200 for the camera and $400 for the adapter. Or combine them for a package deal at $1500.

    Hi,
I just bid on a 100B on eBay with a final price of $1,877, plus shipping. The camera has 144 hours and a Century Pro Series HD .6x wide angle adapter. Isn't this adapter for the HVX200 and not the 100B? I have until tomorrow to make a decision. If anyone has time, would you mind taking a look to see if you think it's worth the investment? Here's the link: http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll...MEWA:IT&ih=011

I truly appreciate your time and have a fantastic Thanksgiving.

Yes, that lens was made for HD... that being said, it seems to work with SD also.

The main thing that would steer me away from this cam is the fact that he says he shot snowboarding videos with it. No offense to anyone shooting snowboarding vids (cause I like them), but if I were looking to buy a used camera, I wouldn't want one that's spent it's life around wet/snowy/harsh/bumpy conditions.

It's up to you really, but I'd pass on it for the reason stated above. Just my personal preference...

Thanks, Ryan. I noticed that as well and it gave me pause. As you can tell, I'm really nervous about making an unwise purchase with my limited funds.

There's one more on the block for tomorrow: http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll...MEWA:IT&ih=014

Maybe I should purchase new from B & H, but so many people have said I shouldn't because finding a good used camera is just as effective. Oh, decisions, decisions...

Lots of good used DVXs for sale these days. No real reason to get a new one, as long as you are patient. Seeing as you are in/around NYC, why not try to hook up with some folks there and see if there are any for sale locally? I'd rather buy from someone in person than off e-bay.
