I use a DVX with an exploding lens. Everything seems fine when filming wide shots, but when we move into close-ups, the actors get a big surprise, and a face full of Leica glass. MUAHAHAHAHAHA!!!!!!

we shot mine with a cannon A1. Added to the actresses motivation of fear.
Below is a BTS. This was on the other side of the peephole.
