Did you work with ntg2 mic and AT897? did you work in indoor and outdoor with this mics? since my budget for this is not very much

sorry i have a better budget , i use ntg 1 as camera mic - what it intend to do .not more

between the 2,ntg sounds less worse and if you dont need battery you dont need the 2 so save few bucks and buy ntg1

Like oleg said, the panasonic is not good. Get the Rode NTG1 if you don't need battery power (if using with a camera or mixer with phantom power). If you don't have phantom power on your camera or mixer, get the rode ntg2.
