    Fs-100 Not Working!!!

Ok, so I did this already:
It sounds like the camera's 1394 control hasn't been assigned.

In your camera menu go to 9. Other Functions. Be sure that 1394 Control is set to EXT.
On the FS-100, be sure that in the Control submenu that you choose "Tapeless". Under the Functions submenu you should be able to use "FA Sync" or "FA Tapeless".
You'll still get the flashing P2 symbol, but when you hit the record button, you should notice a red dot beside 1394 on your camera lcd. You will (should) also notice the counter running on the firestore lcd.

Everything is working as described above. The problem is when I watch the footage I am getting "colored confetti". It basically scrambles the image I just shot.

    HELP!

Make sure the FS-100 is running at least version 2.00 of the firmware. There were issues with that in the very first FS-100's, but were supposed to be fixed in the later firmware.

Ah ha! I had to change it the DV FORMATS to Quicktime.

What is P2, P2 PN, Quicktime PN, and RAW DV?

I can't find that in the manual.

    THANKS!

p2 records to MXF and associated files.

pNative records only native, not redundant frames.

This is in the v.3 manual for the FS-100 and also in materials associated with the HVX200
