I'll be shooting subjects against a greenscreen for the first time with the HVX200. I don't have time to run proper tests. I would normally use mostly factory camera pre-sets, but I saw an interesting tip in a HVX200 DVD tutorial. It suggested shooting with less detail than "0" as well as lowering the coring in order to eliminate the "enhancement" line around the subject. My question is - how far can you go, and can some detail be easily added back to the subject in post after the key is pulled? Any suggestions on "safe" camera levels? Also, is it worth saturating the chroma as well in order to get a more saturated green - or does that introduce too much noise? Any other HVX200 specific greenscreen tips would be greatly appreciated. I'm aware of the usual dos and don'ts like even greencreen lighting, proper exposure, blocking green spill, etc.
Thanks!

do a search for "Greenscreen and HVX settings" and a bunch of helpful threads come up. The one titled Greenscreen and HVX settings is a discussion about specific cam settings. that post is here http://www.dvxuser.com/V6/showthread.php?t=93069

I've only ever shot GS with the HVX once (for a short film a couple months ago) and used progressive, exposing for the subject and slightly over exposing the GS. You need to make sure that you have enough space between the subject and screen for this because it can cause more spill, but it does help get rid of slightly uneven GS results. It was my first time touching the HVX so I didn't mess with any of the advanced settings and we got really good results.
