I see alot of DVX users buying those follow focus rings that attach to left side of the DVX. And then I also see this Bebob Foxi focus ring. I was wondering which ones better. I see alot of you use the Follow Focus is there and advantage to that? Is it because the Foxi is electronicly attached to the back of the camara while the follow focus directly moves the focus righ. I could really use some advice I need to purchase one soon and I dont want to choose one that wont really help me out. Can some one give some advice thank you.

The question is... why do you need to purchase one?

A follow focus is used for basically one thing: the ability to control your focus beyond that of the stock focus ring.

What types of things are you shooting? a feature? a lot of rack focusing?

    Thank you Mr. Brown.

I was considering a very similar question and your response answered the question without a doubt. I'm at the 8 minute short stage. I'm good with what I've got.

    Thank you very much.

    Good Luck and Keep Shooting.

I hate using the stock focus ring it's so uncomfertable and when I do alot of movement shots it's hard to use it. Right now I'm sorta just messing wth the camera but am planning on doing something bigger. Start with a short then a low-budget feature. so what do you think Foxi or follow.

well if you are planning to go with a 35mm adapter in the future get a manual ff. if not I'd get the foxi as its mounting is more flexible.

start searching here - indifocus, brevis, redrock, chroziel, hysonfilms - heck there are alot of different ff's and thats not all of them by any means. I think I've seen most if not all of them talked about and reviewed here at some point or another. Happy searching.
