is there a thread or place here on the message boards for the current Panasonic, and other camera manufacturers for current promotions? I think it would be a real good idea to have this somewhere since most of the manu websites are a little well lets just say... confusing and not quite so easy to navagate and find info on. I discovered this when i decided that I wanted to confirm that Panny was still giving away a free P2 card with new HVX's and I cant find anything at all on it.
Anyone?

Sit tight and wait for another p2 card promotion? It might be a pretty tight and very long wait . . . .
The last p2 promotion was a picture of clarity and is still petering out, and I and others very much doubt you'll see another one soon.
If you got clients now get a cam and have them pay for the p2 card

Well, I dont actually make my bread and butter in that part of the industry. (I work more in the POST part). I wanted a camera for selfish reasons and to shoot some things of my own. So I can wait. I've watched these things before, and there is a pattern. I guess I will just wait for the next set of waves, who knows, maybe it will be the HVX200B

It's your call, but if you are waiting on a p2 card promotion, take a look at the current prices.
We've been told by Jan that no B is expected next year, and at the most there will be minor firmware revisions.
But if it's a hobby, take your time.
