The opening shot along with Hermans music nailed the opening and set the mood. Clint Eastwood baby. (Herman is amazing.)
The outside shots make me wish you would do a short western someday.
The only major crits I have is the audio in the studio shots. The audio sounds too roomy in those cuts.
I understand the problems behind it, really it requires an audio tech, but that is an area that could use more focus.
I liked the robot scenes at the end. I didn't see any VFX credits though.
Once again I was not let down.
-Thanks again.
/Oh, nice casting too.

Glad you liked it! Herman really helped me out with this one. I know he was mucho busy over the last month and I really appreciated his time and help.
The audio in the meeting room was a bit of a problem. Lots of echo! It was a lot worse, believe me. But that's my bad for not hooking myself up with good sound.
I did the VFX myself using AE and Particle Illusion. The robot was actually one of my kids wind-ups toys that I took a Dremel tool to and trash painted. I wound it up and shot a dozen or so takes of it against the green screen in my garage. I masked out the winder (among other things). Once you add in the energy waves and SFX, I don't think it came out too badly, especially for the "look" I was going for.
Thanks for watching!

Great spot cinealma. Look and feel are really good. Opening and ending were great but the middle just reminded me of the scenario for the fest. As a VFX guy I must say excellent work. And the chick scream coming from the guy made me laugh.
Excellent entry! Thanks for sharing.Last edited by TowerFan; 08-04-2007 at 03:41 PM.

You might approach Fox with this idea. It would be much better than American Idol.
I got a kick out of this spot. The outdoor scenes were much better than the indoor. I had a hard time matching them up in my head, so the transition was a little weird. Great job, though. It was very entertaining and funny.
