I just bought a used DVX 100 (not A or B) with 130 hours for about $2000 along with a KATA carrying case, 2 extra batteries, a wireless mic system (Lectrosonics - also used) chargers, cables etc.

there is still 7 days to return this item - no questions asked!

so i was wondering if i got a good deal or not.

BTW - im using it to film a cooking show (probably 30fps).

    what do you think?

I wouldn't pay more than 1600 for a used original 100. But that's just me.

it was really only 1500. but after all the additional throw-ins plus tax - it was 2K.

should i just return it and get the dvx 100b for 2500 without the extras (no mic)?

not bad for 130 hours ... my dvx100p (same model) has 350 plus hours and still works like a charm... good starter package... i'm pretty sure you'll get alot of good use out of it. i bought mine brand new for 3,500 when they first hit the market. so don't feel so bad! there's always a better deal out there... the question is; how much time are you willing to SPEND looking for it??

if the camera came with Letrosonics and they are in good working condition, I think you did just fine. I wouldn't stress over it. If everything is in good working order it sounds like a good deal.

Sounds good to me. I too payed $3500 for my 100A and would do it all over again. The cam pumps out beautiful imagery and with the rest of the goodies you got you did just fine. Really low hours too.
