Instead of trying to accomplish the effect with a push effect, place the cursor over the title and click on the effect editor, here you can change the position (up/down/left/right), scaling, cropping...

I'm not sure how well the iMacs run Avid (I'm on a MacPro) but just going off your system specs, you'll probably be fine. Maybe download the trial first just to be sure?

I was there as well and agree, great presentation by Barry. Pretty much gave me the last nudge I needed to convince me in buying my own AF100.

I still have the original small Panny battery (though I can't remember the last time I used the thing lol) that came with my DVX100a, it's a 1600mAh model number is CGR-D16

Couldn't have said it better. I'll be sticking with Avid but competition is a great thing for everyone.

It shouldn't be a problem...MC academic is the same program as the full version except for price (obviously) and it doesn't come bundled with all the extras like BCC and Sorenson, but it should be...

also, speaking of Avid, I just saw this as well...phrasefind sounds like an awesome feature and I definitely think I'll be upgrading to 5.5 now...

I don't think they're worried, it seems to be another move that goes along the lines...

when the LCD is open, the viewfinder doesn't work...at least that's how it is on the DVX100a, I'm sure the 100b is the same way.

unfortunately no...some of us are hoping for a P2 edition somewhere down the line
