I got the FX9 recently, over the FX6 because:

a) shoulder work
b) audio work
c) image quality
d) i`ll get the FX6 stuff from my a7s iii anyway
e) a7s iii is smaller than fx6

Sounds good! I probably shouldve gone with an FX6. It sounds like its just as good as FX9, but with less fancy smanchy bells and whistles aimed at bigger sets.

The only thing i do to shoot is flip out my LCD, remove lenscap, turn on, ready in 35 seconds, ish.

Im not weighing in on the debate as such. But to be fair, judging the tools most filmmakers actually use today is fair.

I only ever once touched and used a proper ENG camera, during film school....
