If the lens is well reviewed, yes. Not all lenses are/were created equal- read reviews for specific lenses.

You are correct Bern. Adjusting the three screws on the end opposite of the bracket itself is the proper way to tension the arm.

Pretty much this. There have been movies in the last 5 years that have been nominated for an Oscar shot on 16mm. Do we even need to get into the fact that Avatar was shot on 2/3 sensor cameras?

Because c-mount lenses won't cover the sensor. It is slightly smaller than 4/3.
