I would say interchangeable lenses would be considered invaluable by most professional cinematographers. Unless a completely all in one lens solution was invented (which most multi use zooms can't...

I wouldnt say it's outdated, unless your thinking ahead to 4K in which case all our DSLRS are soon to be "outdated" lol

60D is a great camera, although people are right the kit lens is slow
