16 cameras are cheap now cause no one is using them. I'm talking about all these years when all we had was film - raw stock, processing, making a positive, camera rentals, steenbecks, etc, etc. ...

poo poo film and there cameras and 100 people crews, etc! I've been trying to make indy personal films for 30 years! And the cost of it was prohibitive! Spent decades writing scripts trying to shake...

The only thing i would say is that you could hold on a lot of the shots longer - for example the shot where the leaf falls in the grave yard - it's powerful - but even more powerful letting it linger...

Yeah - I'm talking about Indy features that I write and direct. These are small budgeted feature films.

As a writer/director I always send the whole script - they can either read it or just read their sides.
I must say I always like the ones who've read the whole script. I like their drive.

ps - the big secret is to write every day - especially in the beginning. Write at least ten minutes a day. If you have some bulls*%t job that's grinding yer ass up - still write 10 minutes and turnt...
