I'm curious to know about the sound level of the shutter, if there is one. I would love to take stills silently on a film set without the use of a blimp.
Ditto on the congrats! And thanks to the organizers for making it happen, and to everyone who shared scripts and critique. Definitely a great experience.
Thanks for commenting on Charlie and Claire and sorry it’s taken me awhile to get to your script.
I think you have an exciting action piece here. And the characters...
Look forward to reading a rewrite or seeing the film when you get it done. It's a good one.
And glad to hear you have an appreciation for Minghella. Not only was he talented, but I met him once,...
Christopher, youíve had some great feedback already. Hereís what came into my mind after I read your script and before I read any of the feedback:
A simple story with an emotional core,...
Nice job. You set the scene well. Weíre out in the country, and a superhero is about to be born. I like the Alienís motivation to pass the torch, or star, as it may be. ...
First off, great work.
1. Re: the feedback youíve already gotten
A lot of great ideas.
Didnít really think much about the paramedics ability to neutralize...
Nice job. I can see this movie, you've succeeded in painting a picture in my mind. With a rewrite of your action/description paragraphs the flow will definitely improve, but yes for a first draft,...
Thanks everyone for the feedback. I'll try and incorporate it into the rewrite. (In an effort to improve the pacing, I've made some cuts already, and will look for further spots to tighten.)
Yeah, I wondered too about Abner not being able to leave the bar. Would be kinda ironic.
Wow. Lots of atmosphere here. You create a milieu that is very visual.
On my first read I felt a little lost, like I was struggling for a frame of
reference. I was wondering if I could be...
Glad to hear your first impression is good.
It will be great if a bare HV20 can pan and tilt smoothly on a Libec LS38. On my HV30 I have a Raynox 6600 WA, hot shoe mic, and...
I really liked your script. It was easy to read and kept me wondering "who are these guys to each other, and what's gonna happen to them?" It was also neat how you intercut reverse...
mentatDUKE... Nice job, good story, well told.
Some specific likes:
I like a lot of the visuals. The dying of the hair and the blue contact lens in the first scene is a great example of...
Hey Jason, yeah I dug the half episode of Lost I saw, and wouldn't want to blow it by jumping in after the beginning.
My wife has the first season on DVD, so I'll have her bring it to me. (She's...
Hey mentatDUKE. Thanks for the great feedback. Yeah I was wondering if I was hitting the same beat too much. Point well taken re: pacing. Will definitely look at that for the rewrite.
Thanks appy. Looking forward to hearing how you do with the Libec 38 and HV20.
Oh, and I looked up that thread about removing springs from the head - it pertained to the Matthews M25. Not sure...
Can you add a weight to a smaller camera?
I've got an HV30 and eventually plan to use a 35mm adapter rig and/or bigger camera, so I'd like to get a tripod I can use now and grow with. I'm...
Did you find out anymore info about the Libec LS-38 with the HV20? I'm considering one for my HV30 and wondering if it will be doable without adding extra weight below the camera...
Nope. I'm a bit TV illiterate as I don't have cable. Seen only half an episode of Lost. So... there's characters named Charlie and Claire? Are they cool? Do they fret over dripping taps? I...
uploaded earlier tonight...
Charlie and Claire
If a tap drips in the bathroom, does anybody hear it?
Hey all, I'm finally posting after lurking for quite a while. Glad the Script...
