I think their design has to do with manufacturing and not ergonomics and let the rigging to third-party.
It is weird for sure, but if they deliver that new 4K camera in a timely fashion and a PL...

Hmmm....when I looked at footage from my Pix240 drive, it had proper timecode with 9.1.3
Am I loosing my mind here?
I will try it again.
On a positive note, the latest rev of Resolve quietly fixed the TC issue with Pix240! WooHoo!
If all software developers were rockstars live Resolve's, it would be a happier world!
F55: F55 Internal 4K?
I understand it doesn't do RAW unless you have the extra recorder.
When recording 4K internally, what does it do? SLOG?

Hoping they fixed the Pix TC issue. Downloading now!

LOL! That made me laugh--Sony putting customers first. ROFLMAO! Don't bank on that for even a moment.
I'd trust them about as much as Kim Jong Un.

I am willing to go DPX or DNG through process...I think Smoke will deal with it.

I am tired of Quicktime's gamma shifts and other problems...looking for alternatives.

What about DNxHD for Gemini? If it had it, I'd already own 2.

hscully! Good one. Made me laugh this AM.
I had a dude at a very religiously oriented non-profit almost insist that I shoot porn for him. (to be fair, he was not a high-ranking person there)....

Berkey top plate is the best you'll do and still retain the jack and IR.
Isn't that the truth! When I tell clients about a new camera, they just laugh and shake their heads. In fact, I had one literally recently say, "We don't give a $hit. We just trust you." That was a...

There is indeed a ribbon-cable that connects onto the top board that I assume is for the buttons, tally, IR, and headphones.
Technically speaking, you could probably build a little box to live on...

Dig the pix!! Camera porn, for sure. What is the hardware in front of the top rods that is holding the EVTF? (which the Solid Camera Mount is attached to). Looks like a nice solution!

I would definitely try another battery/power-source. I had a similar issue on SRW1--plugged an IDX power supply in and it blinked strange errors, complained about the boards being faulty, etc.

I am monitoring via my recorder (Pix or KiPro). Another option, which I haven't tried, is to use the RCA audio outs under the XLR...which isn't my favorite option.
I'm going to start...

I record footage on Cinedeck, KiPro mini, and Samurai and don't have this issue. So, I have to assume that SD is doing something that isn't "standard". I'm suspecting that Resolve just has to look...
If I were SoundDevices, I'd be running to the table with a Fix. It's a major annoyance that I'm surprised wasn't caught way earlier in their testing cycles.
