I figured it out... you need to click "re compress" above "make movie self contained" that fixed everything. Hope that helps someone else. Thanks guys/girls... M.O.

I removed attributes "Distort" in the clips in the timeline and it fixed the problem.

One thing though, it may of had to do with Text overlays. I tried adding a text overlay to the new project file and the playback went bad in the area of the overlay like the previous project.
