How well do HDSLR's do up against filming close to small miniatures while preserving the detail of it all?

I don't think many people will be buying HD when 4K's the primary next-gen cameras in the market.

I think it will take a while, (maybe 5-8 years) for this to be the mainstream television owned by your average person.

It can ruin shots and it can save shots. If it's done well when the actions fast like on a battlefield for example and everything exploding etc, then it should be used. It immerses you in the film....
