The 3 User Assigned Buttons on the side can be set to change framerates(under/over crank).
Those buttons can be bumped pretty easily, but idk.

very nice, did you use any lens adapters? macro? I find my macro lens was a great addition to my hpx170's capabilities(for shallow)

If the gopro is locked down solid or well-stabilized the effects of rolling shutter can be minimal. The rolling shutter can be really bad if the cam isn't mounted well and vibrations get to the cam....

fwiw choma level +4 can contribute to noise. i generally dial chroma level down.

I absolutely love my 170, its formfactor is onpoint. Blow up on big screen is solid and still wows clients. CCDs are very important to me cause I like to do fast camera moves.
