I have done some pans and slides that in some instances were ok and in other instances, stuttered badly. Can anyone help me understand hat may be going on and how to prevent this?

I'm all for not transcoding. However, I don't have the original file structure in tact... I just have MTS files and can't seem to figure out how to get them into FCPX.

I don't know about height issues vs an industry standard. They have two follow focus'es for it. There certainly appears to be enough room for both and FF and a MB.
