Replied to your PM. also, if you are using mkII, note the stable and continuous resolutions for now are:

1880x854 -- 2.20:1 -- stable/continuous til card full

1728x972 -- 16:9 -- 10,000 frames...

Try to check the canon menu in the liveview if preview was moved to stills and not movie as this affects ML recording.

Are you using mkIII? If so, I think (needs confirmation) you can achieve that by activating 60p via canon menu then in ML menu go to FPS over ride and dial in 48fps, or any in between and...

Porting ML to the 40D has been stalled due to lack of interest and probably lack of ML developers working on this model. This is what I understand from the comments made by developers over at the ML...

I suggest to stick with the newer builds for the camera and try to find the extractor that works.
The raw2dng and other conversion developers usually are the ones to catch up with the camera ML...
