It doesn't, I've been shooting with an AF lens for months with "Shoot W/O Lens" turned on, and had no issues until the 4th of July. The camera was very hot that day in the sun, and I turned it off...

Normally when I try to AF, nothing happens; no response. It's not even trying, as...

On the fourth of July I lost all AF capability except in iA mode. I think the camera might have overheated, but I am not sure. Is there a way I can fix this, or should I get it repaired?

I'm currently running with a Pentax 28mm lens, manual focus. It can be hard to tell if my subject is in focus all the time, is there a way to get the focus assistant with another lens?

The GH2 would be a great travel camera. It's very lightweight. I recommend the 14-140mm lens, but that's just me. Having the extra zoom has come in very handy.

I got a lens adapter for Pentax lens (because my mom has four of them) so I took the 28mm 2.8 lens for a test. I fell in love as soon as I put it on.

Yeah, like I said I have quite a few Pentax lens including a 28mm and a 50mm 2.8 lens. I hope to get the adapter soon to try them out :)

I'm also trying to get deep DOF with wide angle lens (I've seen it done) though I'm thinking I just need a special lens for that, kit lens can't provide that. Is this correct?
