If you are using it with a DSLR I can almost garauntee that is most of your problem. Glidecams work best when you are at their upper weight limit. A glidecam with a 2-5 lbs capacity will work best...

Maybe it looks better for 3d but personally I don't like the 48fps look. What's the point? Just use what works. I don't know, I just personally don't get it.

While I liked the cinematography a lot, the long famous battle shot/scene sort of took me out of the movie. Not sure if that is a good thing or a bad thing. I kept rewinding. Definitely impressive...
