I have a client bringing a Nexto 500G to a shoot tomorrow. I don't think he has the external adapter that allows direct offload of P2 cards.
However, I have a P2 Store and a Duel Adapter...

I have a half-hour wildlife documentary that was shot on DVX and edited in FCP 7. I want to bring the whole project up to HD resolution and finish it there. That way, I can use some AfterEffects...

Do you need the HD-SDI version?
I have a DP6 in excellent condition that I am thinking of selling to get the HD-SDI version.
If that works for you, what are you willing to pay?

This is a question I never thought I would be asking...
Is the PAL/NTSC format even relevant when video content is used only for web purposes? Obviously, people around the world are watching web...
Regardless of how you feel about the new FinalCut Pro X, this latest installment in the "subtitled, apoplectic Hitler" series may be worth a laugh.
SpecComm has the original cable for $80 (jeez!)
And they have a six foot one that looks to be aftermarket:...

Isn't it still an Alpha release? Alex?

Is this ready for prime time yet? What are the chances of a bricked camera at this point, Alex?

With these transfer speeds, and the new FinalCut ostensibly making that initial transcode optional... Oh my
+1 for burly metal casings
+.8 for a P2-based AF200 (prior to this announcement, I...

With the updated firmware, it will work fine with the larger cards.
The "cheapo laptop" solution is not right for everyone.
A used P2 Store is still an excellent purchase if you'd like a card...

Hopefully you've resolved this settings issue already.
If you're still planning to chuck it out a window, please PM me with the location of your window and the approximate time you'll be tossing...
Everything about P2CMS is horrible and the software should be a major embarrassment to Panasonic. But after all these years, they don't seem to care enough to fix it.
Crap like that has lessened...

I have a Sachtler tripod that is compatible with the CineDSLR plate. I considered buying one, but I can't figure out what the point of it is.
Anyone shooting "Cine-style" with a DSLR is likely...

FOR SALE: I'm interested
Can you post a photo?
I have an Igus slider setup and it works fine with the HVX in controlled settings. There is more drag than you might expect, which can be a good thing if you USE the drag properly.

This is quite helpful. I'm always mindful of knee compression when I use it but hadn't really considered the impact of gamma.
I am in the Bay Area as well, so perhaps we'll run into...
For years I've been using zebras at 80% and 100%, frequently pushing exposure up to the point where 100% zebras start to show up and then backing off until they disappear...

Interesting. His criticism regarding the AF100's focusing features really must be taken with a grain of salt. He admits that the operator had "limited experience with large sensor cameras." I think...
