I've had two HVX200s die. Both were completely unresponsive, not partially as you describe. Both needed to go back to the factory.

I tend to guestimate focus using the barrel markings when shooting on the wide end of the lens. Peaking is all the way up, but perhaps I'll try B&W. Thanks for the tip.

Never used Canon's XF. Does it play natively with FCP 6 or 7? If not, is there a 'raylight' equivalent? The whole process of trancoding and doubling files seems redundant and a huge time waster. ...

Great lens for the HPX370. Its fairly wide, faster and has much, much less chromatic aberration (and breathing) than the stock.

What you are looking for is not cheap and really complicates the camera setup. You are looking for a 35mm adaptor, relay and 35mm lenses (cine or photo) - a basic setup is going to run you around...
