Here is a high-res verison of my film Singularity, which was shot on the HDR-FX1 at 60i and converted to 24p with the Nattress Film Effects Package--

Did you edit all your footage first, and then convert.. or did you change it to 24p right after importing your footage?

Nattress is a final cut plug in, so you apply it to each shot after you edit. A bit tedious, but it gives great results.

I like your film. Good slice of scifi.

Very nice look. What did you use for grading? Lighting?

Very little color correction was needed, just a slight film gamma enhancement. For lighting, a 2-strip fluorescent from home depot hung overhead with daylight tubes, a compact fluorescent worklight from Sears to simulate the glow from the monitors, and a 100 watt bulb in a desk lamp for fill. On a few shots I bounced a 500 watt halogen off the walls to bring up the light levels, but that was the extent of my kit.

Sorry to be so late to this, but I LOVED it. Not only did it look really good, it actually kept me interested for the entire 12 minutes (which is hard to do, especially with independent productions).

You were able to do some great things with a small budget. Kudos to you. This is my favorite independent film on this site

Wow, thanks for the kind words. They are encouraging, as I'm moving onto my first feature.

I liked it a lot. Animation and sound was well done and blended with the video in a smooth transition of effects. The storyline was great and it kept me hooked till the end.
One of the best movies I have watched online with a good and interesting story.
