I haven't had a chance to really look yet, but I'm assuming that you'll have to update (like the HVX) P2 drivers for computers, etc. Anyone heard yet?

I was just going to ask this... so on the HPX you'll be able to get 32 minutes of 1080 24p now instead of 16 when the update comes just like the HVX 200?

It gets confusing when someone calls a camera "The HPX", because there's at least three (the HPX500, the HPX2000, and the HPX3000). We should all really try to refer to them by their numbers rather than by their initials.
The 2000 will receive a firmware update that will allow it to use the 24pN mode, which means it'll be able to record 42 minutes of 720/24pN on a single 16GB card, the same way the 200 does. The 500 can already do that.
For 1080, it's always a minute per gig.
