when wireless connection is on the brink

If any of you tried to get a hold of Time Warner, then you'll understand why I'm
posting this here first before I spend an hour on hold with them. I did something
funky to my internet wireless connection, it's no longer on my list of
connections.

So when I open the box to change the order of wireless connections, I see it
there, top of the line, but it has a red "x" next to it, as though it were somehow
disabled. I tried to readd the puppy, still no luck. Anyone lose their
wireless connection on the list and somehow found a way to bring it back up?

I need a tech geek to help me.

I *HATE* TW cable... I get knocked offline usually around 50 times a day over the entire day... it's so frustrating that I'm hoping their cable division goes bankrupt. But I digress...

What version of Windows are you using?

I'm using XP. I've removed the connection off the list, put it back on, still shows
a red x. I have no idea what I did. I hate TWarner, so frakin' hard to get thru.
