buying used

I'm currently browsing around the Mini DV camera market. Obviously I would like something along the lines of a Canon GL-2 or Pana. AG-DVX100,A,B or Sony Handycam DCR VX2100. Unfortuately, even on eBay, they are way out of my price range (preferably less than $800). Is there any prosumer camera that will fit into that price range? Don't laugh, but the one thing that I am looking for is a handle on the top with duplication of the record and zoom controls.

Why laugh, thats one of the features I use most on my HVX! Maybe a used DVC30? I'd look for full manual controls too.

Even a used DVC30 wouldn't go for any less than $1300. For less than $800 you're looking at something like a GL1. There was one here recently for $850 if I recall, check the market place.
