So I found out the hard way that the 60GB Panasonic P2 card drive was NOT compatable with MacIntels. I currently have Final Cut Studio and am going to upgrade to FCPS2. My question, does the recently relased FCP6 fix these problems and is it now compatable with the card reader (AJ-PCS060G). thanks

Hi, I have a Panasonic P2 Store and I use it fine with my Mac Pro and Final Cut Studio. You may need to upgrade your FCP Studio to version 5.1.4 as they have fixed some of the P2 issues. But make sure that you also did the Switch to MAC tap dance on it by pressing certain buttons to convert it into a format suitable for Mac. After that all you need to do is connect it via UsB2, open Final Cut, then choose import//Panasonic P2 and it works fine. There was a manual about how to convert it to MAc. You may be able to find it here under a search for P2 Store. or thry googlng it, P2 Store Conversion to Mac. Let me know if that works.

Just keep in mind that if you have card volumes already store on the P2 store, you won't be able to switch from Mac to PC or the reverse. You can only make the switch when the drive is empty.
I've been using a P2 store for the last 15 months with a variety of mac systems including 2 macintels and I have zero issues.

I have to respectfully disagree with Mark here. I have no issue switching between Mac and PC mode with the P2 Store full or otherwise.

Hmm what's your trick? I've not been able to make that switch when I had card volumes on the P2 store.
