Screen Capture no show?

Ive recently gotten a new PC, (which was great) and in it, is a Radeon X600 graphics card. Recently, i've been attempting to use the "print screen" feature to take screengrabs of certain shots from DVD's. I just play the DVD in full screen on my 22" monitor, and hit "prt scr" However, after pasting the image into photoshop, all the windows, etc from my secondary monitor show up, and the where the film grab should be...black. I dont think this is a copyright protection, as I used to do this on my old computer. Is there some setting I need to look over with my PC display, or graphics card? I have even tried grabbing stills from movies with outside programs, and its still black. Any thoughts?

Thats because of layered video settings on your card. You can capture these with Camtasia.

I have Camtasia, and have tried with that as well. The result, black.

In fact I just tried to capture some video with Camtasia, with WinDVD running miniscreen. As soon as I started capturing, the player stopped and went to its "default" screen...Seems to me like a protection setting with WinDVD. Everytime I have tried this it has been using WinDVD so maybe thats the problem.
