File > Log and Transfer.
I'd suggest you read the manual, otherwise you will be asking a ton of questions.

EDIT: Opps, I mean "File" not "import".

Or get Raylight, and skip the whole Log & Transfer or File->Import P2 step entirely.

Why use Raylight with FCP ? Or are talking about the PC world. Is there a great benefit to using a third party software ? I'd think that you would adding more variables than necessary. Please correct me if i incorrect.

It avoids rewrapping the native P2 output into QuickTime containers and the resulting duplication and waste of disk space.

Raylight has a product for the Mac, now, that specifically works with FCP.

You can read about it here http://dvfilm.com/raylight/mac As THoff said it eliminates the rewrapping process and allows you to edit straight off the P2 Card (or a card image), takes the backup process out of the time critical part of your workflow, and also (very soon) gives you access to the P2 Metadata from within FCP.
