So I had a broken mamiya 645, and I disassembled it, and used the lens mount and body inside the adapter I am building, its great because the ground glass was able to be mounted right at the film plane/lens focal point...dead on..
I used a 4" dia T shaped pvc pipe, it works great for mounting the body portion, and the achromat.
The problem is that I was a little off in my design, where I had planned to drill press the holes for the 15mm rails ended up screwing up the framing of the adapter to the camera. the picture attached explains what I mean.
Does any one know a good solution to make this work...keep in mind I am limited to building resources because I am in an apartment.
thanks!

Why not drill a hole through both sides of the pipe, tap it and then insert a screw. (thumb screw if you like so you don't need a screwdriver.)
I'd use a pretty wide machine screw so it has more force at least 1/4".
you can also try taking out the rods and screwing the plug from bellow all the way in and drilling through both the pipe and the plug for the rods, and the pipe and the plug for these thumb side screws.
this would give you more threading on the taping and more surface on the plastic holding the rods.
I'd glue the plug once I screw it it so it doesn't move in the future.
Just a thought.

killer!....sometimes the most simple things slip by....
I think I am going to screw the plug in half way with glue on it, so when I drill the holes, theres enough plastic on the bottom of the rods. then tap the sides,
thanks man.

man, you are up late. Night Owl, just like me. Also, before you glue that plug, you can make a hole from the top half way down but not piercing through the plug. (on the center of the square part) then from the top place a nut 10-24 thread size (or whatever the standard for a camera tripod screw is.
add some epoxy glue on the sides so the nut doesn't spin, and now you can mount the adapter to a tripod or something.
Not sure if you need it, but once you glue the plug you wont be able to do it.
hope that made sense.
ps: when I say the top of the plug, that is in reference to, as you have it in the drawing. I mean from the inside of the pipe if that makes more sense.
