This is Tom from VariZoom. We have a new rig we introduced at NAB that is as close to our popular Media Rig as you can get yet still be compact and extremely solid. This will also be part of the prize pool for Spyfest.

What is really neat about the new Dv Traveler is that is folds flat and requires NO TOOLS. No allen wrench or screwdriver needed just the rig and your two hands.

After the airforce combat camera squadron made our FlowPod their choice for their combat video kit some of the user asked to make a compact but solid support they could use in rough conditions and with no loss of set up time.

Compare to the Media Rig (below) to the Traveler above and you can see Dv Traveler appears similar but not quite as substantial the handles are narrower and does not have the rear conunter weight. Still a really great rig and about $200. less. Both rigs have the added accessory rotating light accessory.

We know users want a support that could be used instantly when pulled from the camera bag and this does the trick like no other. We will be giving some of these away to the winners of the Spyfest.

Notice it has a telescoping and rotating heavy pad arch support.

There is more to it then meets the eye but I'll hold off on all details until it is in the stores. I am in Los Angeles now and expect to drop off samples to Tommy in sales at EVS while I am here.

We also have some more announcement for more new products coming. It was a pleasure to participate in the giveaways with the last fest. Enjoyed working with Jarred and appreciate the kind comments from the winners

Those of you not entering the contest should know the Dv Traveler is $499. but DVXUSER's can preorder and get one for only $399. for limited time. We will be shipping in about 3 weeks or less. We Gaurantee your satisfaction or your money back.

Best regards,

Tom

Thanks for the continued support of DVXuser's fests, Tom!! As a sign of our appreciation, we made the Media Rig the sole mode of shooting with for the fest we just entered into the SpyFest. We figured what better way to test out the rig than to exclusively use it for the entire shoot!

Patrick (the DP) loved it, and it worked out great. Thanks again!

I know they are announcing prizes today, but I just wanted to bump this. Tom has consistently been a huge supportrt for DVXuser fests.

This looks awesome. I could use one of these actually. The fact that you can just pull it from a camera bag is pretty sweet!

Thanks for hooking us up once again Tom

Nice. I could have used that for a few shots on Girl vs. Boy. I may have to look into that in the near future. Thanks for supporting SpyFest! :)

Yeah, to back up what Norm said, I used this rig on his shoot, and even after a 17 hour day of hand held shooting, I still felt good- and the shots came out WORLDS better than if I had been hand holding without the rig. I feel like this is the best solution to hand held shooting with the DVX100A that I have tried thus far.
