This is some footage I shot right after I got my camera (Two days ago), excuse the shakiness ( didn't have a tripod with me), I'm getting use to the body of the camera and recorded this in a hurry (i'm not a cameraman).

I will try to post better footage later (hopefully better material that do justice to the camera). One thing, the Fuji 17x is actually quite good for the price (I had my doubts but I went with fuji because of price and availability, so far I'm a happy with it). I do recommend an external hd monitor for focusing.
The file is heavily compressed (mpeg4 using compressor). Lense is Fuji 17X CAC. Cinelike V, all natural light (around 7pm in Olrando Fl.). Mostly done @ f2 (using Nd filter 3 & 4) and using the 2X in the lense.

With care and more time one can get fantastic footage out of this camera.

Gustavo

Went out with a couple people shooting last night. Cliche shots of the City at night at both 1080 and 720 over and undercranked. Really wanted to push the camera in low light.

The results look great. Cutting the footage today and will get it online in 6 hours or so.

Any suggestions on compression types? what do people like to see? its coming out of a macpro with 5.1.4 fcs.

H.264 mov would be good for me.

Have you got a rez chart or another camera to side by side it with?

Thanks!

the last footage was a bit too compressed.

any way to make a shorter clip with lower compression for better quailty?

No res charts sorry, currently cutting. got a 1080i sequence done but we are still working on compression settings. Last output was 500 megs.. hmm.

We've managed to get our Kona LHe to output the 1080 nicely to our LH1700w panny broadcast but after a couple searchs just found out that 720p 25 isnt a supported output. damn.

No res charts sorry...

There are various downloads which you can then print out. Most modern printers are pretty capable these days and should "outrez" the camera.

Try this:

Ok here is a little footage of my bird, I have 2 cameras and I shot this with the SD wide lens. I purchased one of the cameras with the Fuji 17x CAC with extender.
The movie is h.264 @ 800kb

Awesome! You should put this in its own bulletin.

It looks like the focus is on the cage bars, making the bird a bit soft.
