I have developed two issues with my HVX (the firewire port is intermitten, and the rca video out has to have pressure on it to transmit signal.)
I am wondering if anyone has had experience dealing with Panasonic and warranty repairs. I am curious about your experiences. I am mainly concerned with how long you were without you camera.
If it is a lengthy proccess it may be worth it just to pay someone to do the repairs.
Any words of advice?

On that RCA jack, I would try another cable or a new cable first. RCA can fail
easily if the 4 tangs on the plug do not grip the connector tightly.

Yes, I actually had to have my camera replaced. Jan Crittenden Livingston was extremely helpful as was Paul at Armatos in NY. You shouldn't have a problem at all.
